Greets you mates anew with Poetry and Song
The new Sailing Ship is in the great Internet Sea
A champagne bottle launch of a web site in glee
With Poetry for Pong and with it, along comes song
But will we welcome those – who use pips so long?
The Pied Piper’s Poetry ship sails proudly sans a Pirate’s crew
Yet could Captain Long Pips bring a mysterious witches’ brew?
The Captain defends the “quiver” tradition of pips that are long
The "junk" that stops many a hitter and looper from sailing along
The Pied Piper and the Great Captain did rhyme well in the past
Yet the Great Pirate Ships of those days – to this day did not last
This bold sailing venture through Internet Seas may seem as a ghost
Can long pips show that the Captain came from the Barbary Coast?
Will Captain Long Pips return with his whimsical wit and lyrical rhyme?
And how can this Mate be a Pirate and a Fine Gent -- yet at the same time?
Whether Pirate or not – the Captain’s poetry flows elegance and grace
Can he outdo the Piper? – Or will the Piper of Pong win the poetry race?
Hear Ye! – all Pongers, Pirates, and Poets gather to the new sailing seas
If Captain Long Pips returns -- poetry will flow as a soft summer breeze
The long pips affect some like the deadly poison in a rotten Pirate’s stew
Yet for the elegant, graceful rhyme – the Seas want the Captain back, anew
